Stockbridge is the national place of pilgrimage for the Divine Mercy devotion in this country. It is not connected with the tomb of St. Faustina or the first Divine Mercy image, which are in Kraków and Vilnius, but it is a pilgrimage destination in its own right and suits parishes and families who cannot travel abroad. A relic of St. John Paul II, the pope who canonized St. Faustina, has been enshrined here since 2012, near relics of the saint herself.

Good to know before you go: the shrine offers confession daily, with additional confession times on Saturdays and Sundays. It posts its exact daily schedule of confession, Masses and devotions, and notices for larger events, on its own site, so read that before you set out. The biggest crowds of the year come on Divine Mercy Sunday weekend, the Sunday after Easter, which falls on April 4 in 2027. For a quiet visit, with time to walk the Stations and the grotto on the hill, choose an ordinary weekday.
