These are the parish's own published rules for priests, signed by the parish priest, Fr. Zvonimir Pavičić, OFM. A priest should bring his own alb and stole, since Mass without the prescribed vestments is not authorized, and sign the book of presence in the sacristy before Mass. Permission for a group Mass in one of the three approved places comes from the Information Office and the sisters who look after the sacristy. The ban on Mass in pensions, in the homes where pilgrims stay and on Apparition Hill or Cross Mountain rests on a decision of the local diocese of Mostar.
To arrange it, the group leader is asked to announce the group's arrival and size to the Information Office, by phone at +387 36 651 988 or by email. The parish does not publish how far ahead a time must be requested or which hours are open, so write early with your dates, numbers and language and ask what is available. All visiting priests are also invited to concelebrate the evening Mass; they are asked to arrive on time, because latecomers are not admitted to concelebrate, and to contact the parish staff if they wish to preside or preach.
Good to know for a group traveling with a priest: he may hear confessions if he has the faculty under canon law, vested in alb and stole and inside the confessionals. A group may pray together on Apparition Hill, on Cross Mountain or at the statue of the Risen Christ so long as it does not disturb others, but talks in parish buildings and prayers over people need the parish priest's agreement, and nothing may be scheduled during the evening program.
