The church keeps a summer and a winter timetable. In summer the Centre lists Masses at Calvary about every half hour from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m., in the language of the group that booked, a Sunday Mass in the Tomb at 6:00 a.m. with very limited space, and the sung Mass in front of the Tomb. In winter everything is an hour earlier. The Franciscans' daily procession through the church is at 5:00 p.m. in summer and 4:00 p.m. in winter. The Custody of the Holy Land lists confessions daily, in summer from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and an hour earlier in winter.

A priest, or a group traveling with its own priest, reserves an altar through the Franciscan Pilgrims' Office at the Christian Information Centre inside Jaffa Gate (fpo@cicts.org, +972-2-6272697), open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and closed on weekends and Christian holidays. Groups traveling with an agency book through the agency. An individual pilgrim does not need a booking: come for the sung Mass, which is the easiest to find, or stand at the back of a group's Mass at Calvary, as pilgrims commonly do when there is room.

Good to know before you go: these are very early Masses, so stay within walking distance of the Old City if attending matters to you, and check the Centre's current list the day before, because times shift with the season. Holy Week follows its own programme. The Latin Easter Vigil is celebrated here on Holy Saturday morning, and access on the great days can be restricted; in 2026, in wartime, the Holy Week liturgies were celebrated without the public and broadcast.
